Purrfect!!!
A disruptive boy of mine who gets on the nerves of every teacher came up to me and said, "If you no longer want to teach me, i will change school. It's not the same if you're not around! Why do you need to go?" I was stumped. His words tore me apart. He is THE ONE in my black book and he is THE ONE i never fail to shriek at the top of my voice every single day. Yet, to him i make a tad of difference in his life. Perhaps i'm the only one who endured him, took control of his emotions when he is not in the best of mood which is oh-so-frequently. I talked to him like an adult and he enjoyed it.
I love each and every one of them all the same. Yes, on most days they tested my patience, hang my sanity by a thread and drained out all the energy that's left of me. To sum it up, they pushed me to the limits without feeling guilty about it. Contrary, on lucky days, they just turn my world around making me enjoy every moment of the teaching periods. On these not-so-frequent occasions, they make me feel that teaching is the most fulfilling career one could ever have and make me wanna stay longer in the profession.
Children need to test our strength, but they will know ours is superior to theirs. They have their own power - power to inspire our love. Their innocence touch our hearts. Yes, i will stay in the teaching line for a few more good years, Insyallah.
Here is a collection of their public display of love...
Not exactly perfect in grammar but leaves a perfect imprint in my heart.
