A tradition...

The open house for the paternal side of the family was a blast.

Truth be told, i can NEVER ever cook like my mum.

She was the backbone of the event.

I wondered what it'll be like if she wasn't around.

The BIG family knows that my mum is the BEST chef around(my mother mah, so must be
proud of her!) and they always look forward to gatherings at our home regardless of event.

The generous spread of food are always irresistable.

Lemme assure you, at my home, you'll never go hungry.

But that applies only when my mum is around lah.

hehehe...

N so it was a kechorable event wheneva we meet.
Please...bear with the pictures.

Mum suggested we get a bigger house to accommodate guests of all sizes since we love having gatherings like this.

See, these poor kids have to resort to sitting under the table since there is lack of space.

poor thing...

us cousins...

It is actually a farewell gathering for my cousin's hubby who has to return to Paris for work commitment leaving his wife behind to continue the raya celebration.

We've had this tradition for 2 years running.

We intentionally held the gathering on the same day as his flight so that he can check in his baggage and return to Pasir Ris for the occasion, have a good dinner, mingle and rest before returning back to the airport with ease.

Hopefully next year they get to celebrate raya with us again so that this tradition lives on.

Even if they don't, gatherings are a must, rite cuzzies?

How about a BBQ at my place in Dec?
